Nrl bulldogs trial matches 2013

Next year the Gurias have now raised the bar, taking on the Bulldogs in a game that has a huge potential of exposing their players for possible engagement by the NRL side or other Australian clubs.

Fund-raising for the trial against Bulldogs starts next month with a dinner at the Kokopo Village Resort on December 7 where they are anticipating good support from Gurias fans and other East New Britain-based or connected corporate entities. Promotions for the dinner has started with press advertisements in the daily newspapers, local radio stations and other selected avenues.

The Raiders will then wrap up their pre-season campaign against the Bulldogs in Goulburn on February In between, the Raiders will take on a combination of three NSW Cup teams in three minute periods on February 16, in western Sydney. Will have to keep y eyes peeled for more details. I am guessing by Feb I will be pretty keen to see some footy, and don't get too many chances to see the boys play in Sydney.

Goulburn Workers Bulldogs president Dale Godber said some extra seats would be shipped into the ground to cater for a crowd eager to watch Dally M medallist Ben Barba weave his magic, Josh Morris find open space and homegrown Raiders centre Jarrod Croker amass points. Godber hopes the trial attracts upwards of people to the city, some of whom may return a fortnight later to acknowledge its th anniversary.

What better way to do that than bringing in spectators? The showpiece ought to leave the club nicely placed to host more representative matches in the future. With night matches soon possible, Workers Arena will develop into one of the best rugby league grounds in Canberra and its surrounds. The Canberra Raiders and Penrith Panthers will this weekend conduct under 20s trial matches at Workers Arena, a month out from a practice showdown featuring homegrown talent Jarrod Croker and the NRL grand finalists.

The club and its major sponsor the Workers Club this month erected floodlights and replaced wonky goalposts. The junior outfits will be the first to reap the benefits from the upgrade. The two NRL clubs, both highly fancied in the race for the premiership, will lock horns at Workers Arena in the final trial match before the season begins. Godber hopes the secondary ground will be ready for use in time for the season. Clever fullback and occasional centre and five-eighth, Zach Hart, will trial for the Penrith Panthers.

I am sure GE will make the trip. Want to grab me on the way through? The goal posts, The GH Instagram has a picture of them from today, and they didn't look that good We also have a pic of the grandstand, historic building by the looks, but with no seats in it. Presumably, cars won't be allowed inside on the day of the NRL trial, but there is only a hill at one end and a small one alongside the eastern side.

I can't imagine more than 6, people fitting in. I know that Paul is excited about the opportunity to come and join us and we believe that he still has a great deal to offer in the game.

We look forward to seeing Paul run out in the blue and white next year and welcome him and his family to the club. Log In. Former Panther and Cowboy Te Maire Martin has signed a one-year development list contract with the Brisbane Broncos as he eyes a return to the NRL after a brain bleed cut short his career in Martin debuted as a year-old with the Panthers and played 13 games before switching to the Cowboys and chalking up 42 more appearances.

His career appeared over after suffering the brain bleed early in the season and announcing his retirement from the game in After passing a final medical clearance, he joins the Broncos on a one-year development list contract, and has also signed with affiliate club Wynnum Manly Seagulls in the Hostplus Cup.
