Once you are inside the prize car, drive back to the finishing line, marked on your map. Step out of your car once you arrive, walk into the yellow circle to enter the showroom, and get into the car marked by a big, flashing arrow. Use the ramp in the showroom to jump out through the window.
Or, not jump -- drive! You will get some driving heat now, so drive around until you've lost the police. Shouldn't be a problem with the car you just stole, since it's really, really fast. Head back to the garage marked on your map once you've lost the police. Since the garage is located in New Jersey and you're currently in Manhattan, you will need to take the underground tunnels to get there.
If you check your main map using the Select button, you will see two underwater tunnels. They start out where the road on the map gets slightly more gray than the other roads on your map.
Just mentioning it, in case you have a hard time finding the underwater tunnels leading to New Jersey. Don't mind the blockades the police has set up near the garage -- just drive past them and into the garage.
This VIP is staying at a hotel in Manhattan, just in front of where you start out. Drive there before the time counter hits zero. Steal the car, then drive back to the lockup. There's a couple of bodyguard cars that will chase you, so don't let them ram into you. You will have to lose the bodyguards before you can drive into the lockup. To do that, just drive around until they don't follow you anymore, just like you lose cops. Well done -- job done! Tail it, but make sure you don't drive too close, as you'll want to avoid suspicion.
The politician drives into the underwater tunnel and heads over to New Jersey. Once he stops to pick up two prostitutes, jack his ride! You'll get some driving heat now, so be quick and drive back to the lockup in Manhattan. Shouldn't take very long with a car like this one. The wrecked ride you need to find is a little west of your current location. The wrecked car is inside a fence that you can break by driving into it.
Now, drive slowly backwards into the front of the wrecked car to tow it. Once the wreck is connected to your tow car, you will get some heat. Be quick and drive back to the lockup marked on your map. Detach the car inside the flashing circle outside the the lockout.
You can detach the wreck by tapping the Circle button two times. Once Slink gets to see the wreck, he says that Ray has to go and tow some other cars back to the lockup as well. Do it. The cars are all marked on your map, and there's only two of them. The first one is inside a fence, and the second one is on a construction site. Your job is to scare him into giving you his vehicle.
First, follow the yellow dot on your map to find the speed cameras in New Jersey to get some cop attention. This kid is going to get real scared, you know. Pass the first speed cameras while driving at 70mph or higher. The same goes for the next two cameras. After getting photographed by all the three cameras, drive as fast as you can to fill the passenger's scare meter. You need to fill it three times, then the kid will agree to giving away his car.
Yahooo, great driving! Once he is in your car, bring him to the airport northeast of where you pick him up. In the northeastern part of the Queens area, to be precise. There's a lot of cops tailing you after you've picked the Russian up, and they are not afraid of using their guns. Drive quickly, and avoid crashing into police cars and walls.
Do not try to take shortcuts using back-alley paths, as many of them are blocked by police cars. Take Two: If you don't feel like racing the cops, you can simply loose the first cop that starts tailing you, and from then look carefully at your mini map, since it displays cop cars. If you avoid the cop cars by taking detours, you won't have to worry about them. Once you arrive at the airport, let the Russian out of your car near his private plane that is waiting for him.
Nicely done, driver. You've got two minutes before it does. Outside of the bank there is a black getaway car waiting for you. Get inside and wait for the robbers. One of them kills a cop before getting into the car. Now, you've got lots of On-Foot and Driving Heat. Your goal is in the far western part of the Brooklyn area, so try getting there without being stopped by the cops.
There are several road blockades where big police vans and normal police cars are blocking the way. In those situations, just ram into the normal police cars to get through! Remember that you can use your gun to shoot police cars while driving as well. You need to lose the tail before stopping at the safe-place in western Brooklyn.
This is the first job where you have to ride a motorcycle instead of a car. Riding it is much harder than riding a car, as you'll fall off if you crash while driving fast. You have two opponents, and what you need to do is to race from one yellow dot on your map to the other.
There are lots of dots. The first ones are placed in a park in the southern part of the Queens area, the next ones are in the city part of the Queens and Brooklyn area, and the last ones are at the beach in the Brooklyn area. Remember that no guns area allowed, and that getting to the beach in Brooklyn is no good, if you don't activate all of the yellow dots.
Be the first one to pass the finishing line to win! Wow, nasty stuff. Well, the ambulance can be found just ahead of where you start out -- follow the yellow dot on your mini map as usual. Ram into the ambulance until it stops. Steal the ambulance, lose the Driving Heat and meets Slink at the new yellow dot on your map. After talking to him, a time counter will appear.
Now you have to be quick and drive over to the Brooklyn area, which is where the heart needs to be delivered. You've got to be real fast to get to the delivery place in Brooklyn before it's too late, so make sure you look at your map to find out exactly where it is you need to go to deliver the heart. Equipped with a machine gun, you will have to shoot the attacking Latino cars to bits. The first cars are standard black sedans and are easy to take out -- just shoot at the cars themselves to blow them up.
Whats harder is the last two attacking vehicles. One is a truck and one is a dozer. Shooting at the truck and dozer won't help you. What you need to do is aim at the people driving the vehicles. They are all hanging out of the window, trying to shoot at you with their guns. Aim steadily and shoot their heads! Once the truck and the dozer have been destroyed, the coke will be yours. Once he has left your car, Mrs.
Thompson needs to be delivered to a new dot on your map. Once she has been delivered, go pick up Mr Thompson again -- he has finished his job now. Once he is in your car again, go collect Mrs. Now that both of them are inside your car again, Mrs.
Thompson says that she has a new target, not far from your current location. Deliver her. Thompson has a new target as well, so deliver him, then go pick up his wife again. When you arrive at the place she wants to be picked up at, she shoots someone and tells you that you need to hurry up and return to where Mr.
Thompson left your car. When you arrive, Mr. Thompson's target escapes in a car. Drive after him and shoot at his car until it blow us. I found the AK 47 to be very nice.
Once you've done all this, mission complete! Your mission is to switch their coke-containing car with a fake one that you're towing behind you. It is however possible to do this pretty quickly, if you just watch your mini-map.
If you see an orange square the orange squares indicate that there is a Latino nearby , take an alleyway, or just wait for it to drive away. Once you've arrived at the coke car's location, drop your replica car, and tow the real coke car back to the yellow dot on the map. Note that if you're fast, you can drive straight past a couple of Latinos before your stealth bar gets filled and you fail the mission. Once you've picked the real coke car up, the smartest thing is to first drive east out of the Latino's area, since the place you came from is now swarming with them.
Once you're outside of the Latino area, just drive around it and back to the yellow do on your map, which is where you need to deliver the coke car. Be fast, as there is a time counter ticking. Once you have let the Thompsons out of your car, check your mini map. There's several police cars nearby. Pull out a gun and shoot at them all to get their attention. Now drive away, and make sure that you are being tailed by the cops.
Make sure you do not lose the tail before the time counter has gone down to zero. Once it has, lose the cops and go pick the Thompsons up again. The Thompsons have prepared a new car for you, so get in it. You will not get a lot of Driving Heat, so try loosing the cops before returning the couple to their hideout. I recommend a sports car, like the San Marino. At the beginning of the mission, the man you need to protect will come driving towards you, tailed by the Latinos.
Drive after them and shoot at any Latino cars using a weapon. AK 47 works very nicely, as always. There's lots of Latino cars to take care of, but even so, there will never be more than one car for you to take out at any given time. Ray will throw a bomb into the bar, and several Latino survivors will come out of the bar trying to kill you.
Still on foot, pull out a gun and slay them all. Once the Latinos from the club are all dead, get into a car and follow Isaiah for a little while, until he tells you to split up from him. Well, do that -- drive in another direction that Isaiah. Once you've lost the Latinos following you, Isaiah will give you a call and say that you need to meet him at the rendezvous point marked on your mini map.
Once at the mansion, get out of the limo, pull out one of your guns and kill Romero's two bodyguards, then kill Romero himself. He is the man in red clothes. Once Romero is dead, plant the bomb he drops on the mansion stairs. Isaiah will now meet you again, and he has Romero's car with him. There's cops after you now, so get in the car, drive onto the nearby hill to fly over the mansion gates, then drive back to Isaiah's hideout without wrecking the stolen car.
Isaiah gives Ray the car afterwards. There are three markets that you need to crash into and wreck totally before the time runs out.
The markets are marked on your map with yellow dots. Just drive into them and wreck everything inside. Be quick though, as there are armed people inside. Have them follow you to the police station marked on your map, but don't drive too fast, as you don't want to loose the tail. Now, lead them inside the police station -- drive into it.
Once the goons are inside, the cops will start shooting at them. Now is your chance to escape from the police station. Do it before the whole place shuts down, then drive like a madman to loose the police tail you got from the police station. Mission complete. Oh, well, job complete at least.
Drive there, and use the ramp that is located near the ship to fly onto the deck. Steal the truck up on the deck. A Chinese man will now offer to drive the truck, so that Ray can get on the back and defend the truck by shooting.
Now, black cars will soon start attacking. Use your rocket launcher at them when they are far away, but if they get too close, shoot at them using your AK Also, then using the AK, try targeting the drivers, not the cars themselves. After you have beat all the cars, use your AK 47 to take down the red helicopter that attacks.
Just shoot directly at it -- there is no special trick you need to worry about. Go steal a tow truck at the yellow dot on your map and tow the wired car. Once you start towing, one of Jimmy's boys comes to check up on you. Still towing the wired car, chase Jimmy's boy and blow him up by shooting at him. Once Jimmy's man is dead, drive over to the nearby mansion marked on your map and drop the wired car. Ray gets out of the car, so pull out your gun and kill all of the bodyguards.
Slink takes care of blowing the mansion up. Follow him and do not lose sight of him. You must not shoot at his car or ram into it, since Chen Chi is inside. Jimmy stops and tells three goons to kill Ray. Take the goons out, and Slink will save Chen Chi. Jimmy is still alive, and tries to escape in a helicopter. Ray gets inside the car that Jimmy was driving earlier and starts chasing the helicopter.
He just flies south along one of the main roads with his helicopter, so don't worry about losing sight of him. Follow the helicopter into the grassy park, and keep on following him even further south until a cut- scene activates and Ray kills Jimmy. It looks pretty cool, I'd say. Well done by the way! Return to the loan shark agency. When there's a few of them left, crash into them to finish 'em off.

Just northwest of this pond, there is a star floating in the air above a hill. Manhattan Star 02 Just north of the pond mentioned in Manhattan Star 01's location, there is a small path leading east out of the grassy park. Just before the park exit, there is a star waiting for you. Manhattan Star 03 There's two underground tunnels close to each other that lead from Manhattan to central New Jersey. Ontop of the north-most tunnel, at the point where the tunnel reaches Manhattan, there is a star.
Use the nearby broken container to get ontop of the tunnel. Manhattan Star 04 A tiny bit north of Manhattan Star 03 there is a container hanging in the air above the water. Inside it is a star. Manhattan Star 05 A tiny bit east of the first 'A' in 'Manhattan' you will find some stairs leading up to the railway above the street. At the top of the stairs, there is a star.
Drive quickly to fly into it. Manhattan Star 06 After getting up to the railway in Manhattan Star 05's location, follow the railway north until you see a star on your right hand side. This is close to another set of stairs.
Manhattan Star 07 In the middle of the second 'T' in 'Manhattan' there is an alleyway with a star in. Impossible to miss this alleyway. Manhattan Star 08 The first alleyway directly west of the first 'N' in 'Manhattan' has a star in it. Drive there and get it right now! Manhattan Star 09 A tiny bit south of the two underwater tunnels leading over to New Jersey, near the water and behind a fence, you will find a star floating in the air.
Manhattan Star 10 In the southeastern end of the grassy park in Manhattan, there is a small road -- it's visible on the map. Above it there is a star floating in the air. Manhattan Star 11 In the very southeastern end of Manhattan, near the docks, there is a huge green building. Behind it you will find a star.
Manhattan Star 12 In the very southwestern end of Manhattan, there is an underground tunnel leading west not one of the two tunnels leading west from central Manhattan. Directly south of this tunnel's entrance, there is a fountain square with a star in the middle. Manhattan Star 13 In central Manhattan there's two underwater tunnels leading west. Just south of the northmost tunnel, there is a star inside an open container. Manhattan Star 14 Between Manhattan and Queens there is a small island.
Just west of the northern part of this island, on the railway track, there is a star. Manhattan Star 15 At the very southern end of the railway. Manhattan Star 16 A tiny bit southwest of the 'M' in 'Manhattan', there is a white parking house. Drive to the top floor and grab the star that is floating in the air. Manhattan Star 17 There is a parking house in the southeastern end of Manhattan.
On the top of it you will find a star. Manhattan Star 18 Just west of the parking house mentioned in Manhattan Star 17's location, you will find a star behind one of the buildings near the sea. Manhattan Star 19 This star is located in the air above a white parking house, a little further southwest from the 'M' in 'Manhattan than Manhattan Star 16 was located.
The parking house looks very similar, but this is not the same star. Manhattan Star 20 In the southeastern end of Manhattan, two bridges lead south towards Brooklyn.
At the beginning of the westmost bridge there is a star above some stairs. These stairs are connected to the bridge construction, so the star is hard to miss.
Manhattan Star 21 Just west of the second 'N' in 'Manhattan' there is a pretty long alleyway. In the middle of the alleyway you will find a star. Behind the fence there is a ramp you can use to gain air. Harlem Star 02 Directly north of, and very close to Harlem Star 01's location. This one is also located above a ramp. Harlem Star 03 There is a street leading straight north from the middle of the 'H' in 'Harlem'. At the point where this street splits, there is a star floating in the air above a container.
Harlem Star 04 Located above the same containers as Harlem Star Harlem Star 05 In an alleyway directly north of the 'E' in 'Harlem'. Harlem Star 06 In the northeastern end of Harlem, a bridge leads east to a small, unnamed island.
At the western end of this bridge there are two stars - one on the western side of the road, one on the eastern side.

Harlem Star 08 This one can be found on the construction site just south of the 'M' in 'Harlem', behind a small, white construction. Near the smallest pond there is a square with a star in. At the southern end of the west-most bridge, there is a star above a container. Bronx Star 02 Drive to the northern side of the bridges I mentioned in Bronx Star 01's location. There are some buildings in the northern end.
Behind them there is a star waiting to be picked up. Bronx Star 03 A tiny bit southeast of the two bridges mentioned above, there is a star floating in the air, close to an area filled with gravel on the ground.

First jump up to the construction using the ramp, then drop down onto the containers.
Bronx Star 08 In the northeastern end of Bronx there is one single alleyway that is visible on the map. Just west of this alleyway you will find a fence with a star behind. It's easy to find this star, since there is only one single alleyway visible on the map in the northeastern end of Bronx, and this star is just west of this one single alleyway.
Bronx Star 09 Behind the absolute northeast-most house in Bronx. In the northwestern end of the park, there is a star close to some breakable fences. Brooklyn Star 02 In the middle of the grassy park in Brooklyn, there is a star floating in the air above a bridge. Brooklyn Star 03 Located above a hill and a bridge in the northeastern end of the grassy park mentioned above. This star is a little tricky to get.
You'll need a car that's not too light and not too heavy -- like the Cerrano. Once you've got a car like that, use the hill near the star to gain air and fly into the star. Brooklyn Star 04 In the northeastern end of the grassy park in Brooklyn you will find an alleyway with a star in.
Brooklyn Star 05 In the southeastern end of the grassy park in Brooklyn you will find a small construction site with two stars floating not too high up in the air. Now, you'll see that it leads north in a straight line, then bends a little west. Drive away from them to lose the heat. Before returning from some jobs, you need to lose your heat. By pressing the L button you can access your garage and your pad, which is where you can view and upgrade your cars, and look at the other items you've unlocked.
If you don't want to do another job, you can also choose to take a free ride from the Job Select Screen. The main jobs are the real meat of the game, and is what makes the storyline go from the beginning to the end. The Side Jobs are completely unrelated to the storyline, and you can easily skip them if you don't feel like doing them.
Side Jobs are recommended to do however, as they will earn you a lot of money. Sometimes when you complete a Main Job, another Side Job might get unlocked, along with a car, a weapon and some money.
You do this in the garage, which can be entered from the Job Select Screen. In the garage you can spend your money on new parts for your car, which is something you will have to do in order to keep up with the game's difficulty.
When you get more money, buy motor upgrades, better brakes and nitro for your cars. Make sure that you've got several top-trimmed cars, so that you won't get tired of driving.
