Rebuild the BCD store. Hello everyone! The first time i did the startup repair, it said it was successful, so I rebooted. However when I rebooted i got another error I can't remember it unfortunetly. It had the same message though [error: 0xcf]. So I tried to do another startup repair, and it said "Startup Repair can't repair this problem automatically" or something like that.

This occurred after I installed and used Tune Up Utilities I attempted to download a copy of the ntkrnlpa.
My hardware is Intel Celeron dual core E 2. The problem started after I installed, rebooted and used TuneUp. I changed the Login screen using this program and rebooted into Win Xp. This is when the problem first occurred.

Ran the chkdsk and got "windows has scanned the file system and found no problems". Posted 20 October - AM. When the computer came back on, the screen was black. Then, it tried fix the problem with startup repair. When startup repair ran, it fixed some problems, then said it could not fix anything else.
Error code- 0x2 I looked up ntkrnlpa. Is there ANY way to recover my information? I have only had this computer for 30 days. I have a lot of pictures, schoolwork, excel files, work files, etc on this harddrive. The HP guy also had me run a hard drive self test and it failed.
